⚓ WJAR reports police officers were active on the roads of Aquidneck Island stopping drunk drivers. According to Middletown police, there were 20 arrests following the Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade for driving under the influence. The Rhode Island State Police led the charge with 10 arrests, while Middletown (4), Portsmouth (3), Newport (1), Jamestown (1), and Tiverton (1) all reported arrests.
