Heritage Restaurant Group announced Monday it has entered into an agreement to acquire Jo's American Bistro, the Memorial Boulevard restaurant that has served American cuisine with Italian influences since 2013. Read more

Last week brought a noticeably slower pace to the Newport County real estate market. According to the closings published in the Statewide MLS as of last night, only nine homes traded hands across the entire county, with no recorded sales in Middletown or Little Compton. On social media on Sunday, Water Brothers says that they and Kirby Perkins have “secured private funding, at the moment anonymously, to restore and reinstate the Easton’s Beach carousel to land north of the skatepark or any location decided upon by the council. We are excited to ask Newport City Council for a way forward to keep the 73-year-old horses here in Newport.”
