Due to road construction, today from 7 am to 3 pm, Spring Street will be closed for large trucks and busses at Narragansett Ave, according to Newport Police Department. All buses and trucks will be detoured to Narragansett Ave.
Santa will make his fourth and final ride through Newport neighborhoods tonight, departing Fire Station 2 at approximately 5 pm. Tonight, he’ll be visiting the southeast end of the city & the Point section.
