🎅 Santa Claus is coming to town! The annual Santa’s Ride through Newport neighborhoods begins tonight at 5:30 pm. The Newport Fire and Police Departments will escort Santa. To track Santa’s progress, families can follow the Newport Fire Department’s Facebook page for a nightly Santa tracker. Read More

🚧 The Newport Pell Bridge westbound off-ramp to East Shore Road will be closed today from 6 am to 3 pm for drainage work. Detour signs will be posted. Read More

🏛️ The new Newport City Council will hold its first Regular City Council meeting tomorrow, December 11th, at Newport City Hall. Read More

🛑 The City of Newport is installing new stop signs on Third Street this week at the intersection of Sycamore Street and at the exit for Hunter Park. This will create a three-way stop at this intersection. Newport Police remind drivers to please use caution when approaching this intersection.
