Despite claims to the contrary from the White House, the economy nationally and regionally is limping along, with rising inflation, slow job growth, and weakening consumer confidence, according to the latest reports from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
“No Kings” protests are planned across the state on Saturday, including in Tiverton, Portsmouth, and Little Compton.
A Middletown couple died Monday morning when their small plane crashed onto Interstate 195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, during rush hour. Thomas Perkins, 68, and his wife Agatha, 66, were killed when their aircraft went down in heavy rain and 30-40 mph winds from a nor'easter.
