The Newport City Council, acting as the board of licensures, approved the city’s Harbor Management Plan and extended a lobbying contract during its regular meeting Wednesday night, while continuing debate on the proposed relocation of the Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt Memorial Statue.

The Newport City Council voted to postpone a show cause hearing for Bloody Bull LLC, which operates as Gardiner House, regarding its lack of a valid Class BT alcoholic beverage license. The delay comes as Gardiner House works to get the necessary clearance from the Rhode Island Division of Taxation.
